Classic Citrus Wedding...

I love citrus! The bright colors, the fresh taste, and how darn pretty they are! This wedding, sent over by floral designer Amy Schoenbaum of Bride and Bloom Flowers, is a classic citrus extravaganza! It even includes my very favorite citrus fruit, the tiny kumquat. I got a mini kumquat tree for Christmas this past year, and I'm literally obsessed with it. Enough about my weird citrus infatuation (How many times did I say citrus in one paragraph? Seriously!)- Here is a bit more about this wedding from Amy:

"The bride, Julie, was going for an antique botanical feel and she chose beautiful flowers like peonies, garden roses, Queen Anne’s Lace, and oak leaf hydrangea. This was used in the bouquets, but the centerpieces were comprised of crystallized lemons. Each lemon (all 352 of them) were crystallized one-by one by myself and my floral assistant. Below the lemons were some of Julie’s favorite herbs; rosemary, lavender, and a bed of eucalyptus leaves which had the most amazing scent. The cake incorporated the fruit theme with organic kumquats which were crystallized. The kumquats were grown locally and shipped, along with the lemons, from an organic grower in Ventura County."
