I am back from the incredible surprise birthday trip my wonderful husband took me on, and am so excited to bring you this beautiful wedding by SheWanders Photography! The bride Salina wore one of the most gorgeous gowns I've seen in awhile. Just check out the subtle stripes and that ruffle detailing on the back. AMAZING!!!
More from the bride, Salina:
Jerry and I were married in San Diego on August 14th, 2010 and our special day was absolutely perfect! Jerry and I wanted a wedding that was effortlessly beautiful, both classic and modern, romantic and fun! I am lucky to have married a man who shares my passion for life; it was great to have his opinion and ideas about our day. We really had fun creating a memorable day that reflected both of us.

For the color palette, and all the details for that matter, I wanted to create a romantic, yet modern and clean, aesthetic. We chose white, gray, and pink. We used pink for a POP of color against all the gray and white; the fuchsia and magenta flowers were bright and fun for our summer wedding.

We wanted to take advantage of the amazing weather in San Diego so an outdoor reception was a must! We chose the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park for our reception because it is lush, gorgeous and the perfect space for a party of our size. The cocktail hour started before sunset, so our guests were able to enjoy the garden and its koi pond during the day. As the sun went down, the lanterns, candles, and stars created a romantic atmosphere for dinner and the dance party!

Our wedding day, much like Jerry and me, proved that opposites not only attract but complement each other so well. I will never forget how I felt that day, marrying my best friend and sharing such a meaningful day with the people we love most; it just doesn’t get better than that!
