Stefanie and Pete's travel themed wedding, by Emily Perello of Emily Takes Photos, was a fun-filled affair! My favorite part had to be the ceremony recessional, complete with wacky bug-eye sunglasses. Honestly, what's not to love about such a spirited first moment as man and wife? A-dor-a-ble!!!!
More from Stefanie:
Pete and I really wanted our wedding to reflect who we are and also be tons of fun for our family and friends who came from all over the place. In the end, I think we succeeded in doing just that, but it was a lot of work.

Being from two different places, with lots of friends and family spread out between Canada and the US, we had a tough time choosing where and when to have the wedding. We ended up getting married near my hometown in Woodside, California at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, which is the same church my parents were married in 30 years ago. We held our reception at my grandparents house just down the road, also where my mom and dad had theirs. Both venues have beautiful surroundings with special meaning to us. I was free to pick and choose my vendors and add my own touches, which is ultimately what I wanted.

We are both Catholic, and we were actually a little bit worried that this would take away some of personal nature of the wedding. It turned out to be such a good decision because our priest made everything so intimate and moving. He even got a round of applause after his homily.... the first round of applause I have ever seen at a wedding.

We are both travel nuts. For the past 6 years we've been together, we have managed to take off to a new place every summer and backpack around. Our wedding definitely mirrored our passion for traveling. The tables were named after countries we have been to, wanted to go or were heading for our honeymoon. Instead of a guestbook, I bought vintage postcards and had guests write messages on the back. I also used those postcards for the table names/centerpieces. I lucked out and found a bunch of funky suitcases that I put all of the postcards in. It made for a cute display table.

Our cake was from a little bakery we have been going to for a long time, called La Patisserie in Cupertino. They make my favorite cake, the Tuxedo Cake. Since we were sharing our special weekend with lots of June birthdays, the tuxedo cake served as a birthday cake. We did a smaller wedding cake to cut.

Stef is one of my best friends and I must say, her wedding was just as beautiful in person as it is reflected in the photos and details! They are the most amazing couple and it is wonderful to see their passions shine through on their very special day!
Their table postcards and the travel tag escort cards are TOO MUCH FUN! Love it all!
I love all the textures with the flowers, the dahlias are especially gorgeous!
I like the way real thought has gone into this and it's obviously gorgeous but in a nice unpretentious way!
