Cheryl and Tristram's charming wedding, captured by Heather España, was held at a gorgeous botanical garden in Portland, OR. Their day was filled with life, love, and tons of darling colorful details! I love the paper poms and fabric bunting which adorned their ceremony site, and the organic feel of Cheryl's bouquet which included one of my all time fave flowers, poppies!
From the lovely bride, Cheryl:
Tristram and I have been together for 13 years, so we've always been committed. :) When we talked about our wedding we agreed we really wanted it to be an intimate, laid back and fun multi-day celebration, but we had to do it on a budget since we were footing the bill.

The entire wedding was really a collaborative effort! All our friends went above and beyond to help us out. We had various teams- team decorate, team flowers, team cupcakes, etc and our friend Risa acted as Wedding Coordinator Extraordinare!

Our friends and I grew all the flowers in our gardens and then they made the arrangements, bouquets, etc.

We didn't have many traditional elements...we didn't have a bridal party, we didn't have seat assignments, we didn't have favors. Neither of us are religious so had short ceremony and wrote our own vows.

Our friend Trinity officiated the ceremony and she has known both of us since we first starting dating so that was extra special. I walked down the aisle to Northern Sky by Nick Drake and we played Everybody's Going To Be Happy by the Kinks as we walked back down the aisle as man and wife. :)

We wanted to be able to spend time with our guests since some were coming from as far away as England and Portugal. We had about 50 guests total. We had our favorite local taco joint, Por Que No, cater the wedding and everyone raved about the food.

We made the bunting (4 different sizes!) and all the cupcakes. We borrowed a lot of things or used what we already had. The blue mason jars belonged to our friend Rosy, as did a couple of the cake stands. The other stands the trays were mine. We included a picture of my parents on their wedding day as a way to honor my mom who passed away many years ago.

Cheryl also sent over this photo of her invitations that were designed and silk screened by Claire Nereim and I just had to share. SO adorable! I love them.
