Rachael and Jack’s yellow & grey backyard wedding, captured by Jessica Bennett Photography, was a DIY bonanza! Friends and family pitched in, and the end result was a charming affair with details galore. The wedding was held in a family friend's backyard (and what a yard it is)! Since there were so many details I couldn’t leave out, this wedding is going to be a two-parter!!! First up is the ceremony, and make sure to check back later today for the reception!
Rachael was kind enough to share some details about her big day:
My vision was a simple, 1940's backyard picnic. I chose gray and yellow, because at the time it seemed like no one was using those colors. My yellow inspiration came from a little yellow flower called "Billy Balls", which I incorporated into almost everything.

My mother, sisters, and mother-in-law did all the flowers.

My mother-in-law also made my veil, because I could not find one that I really liked without paying a fortune.

The pearl necklace I wore was a gift to my mother from my father on their wedding day. My cuff, earrings, and handkerchief around my bouquet belonged to my grandmother.
