A Traditional English Wedding With A Modern Twist Pt. I...

Ok, get ready for some serious fabulous-ness courtesy of Procopio Photography! Liz & Paul were married in a traditional English wedding consisting of two ceremonies, both taking place at Hazlewood Castle near Leeds, England. I'll be sharing the first ceremony in this post, and the second ceremony and reception later today!

The first ceremony was an intimate civil ceremony with only Liz & Paul's closest friends and family in attendance. Let's talk for a minute about Liz's amazing dress for this ceremony! So much cuteness going on! I love the mod look. If you love this dress, just wait for my next post. Her second gown is just as gorgeous!

Since the venue is so incredible, I wanted to include the great info Cicely from Procopio Photography shared about it.

Hazlewood Castle was completed in 1290, so it is very very old. After being a residence for hundreds of years, it was rehabbed and reopened as a hotel in 1997. The majestic entrance to the castle is garnished with hand carved wood paneling. This paneling is so intricate that cameos and realistic scenes protrude outward from the panels, the great hall entry way is complete with a black and white marble checkered flooring. As you would imagine, the castle has a lavish dark wood paneled library with velvet seats and old editions of English Classics. The reception ballroom is a royal green color with an arched stark white ceiling and columns. Every detail of this venue radiates with sophistication.

This castle is now a hotel? Um, I think I need to make a trip to England and stay there, stat!

Stay tuned! The second ceremony and reception will be posted later today:)

I can see that you have a small wedding, with the closes family and friends only. It's just a simple one not that elegant but I like it. :D
